Our Programs Business Immigration Programs

Canada is one of the most welcoming countries in the world for business owners, entrepreneurs, investors and/or self-employed immigrants seeking new opportunities and challenges.

Incorporating many financial benefits, Canada's Business Immigration Programs are designed to encourage and facilitate the entry of such individuals into the country. Applicants with the ability to set up a business beneficial to the Canadian economy can do so through various Business Immigration Programs. The most notable being:

The Start-Up Visa Program

The Start-Up Visa Program supports immigrant entrepreneurs wishing to launch businesses in Canada by allowing them and their families to apply for permanent resident status. During the waiting period for the PR card, applicants are eligible for a temporary work permit, allowing them to enter Canada and establish their business.

This route is ideal for entrepreneurs who meet four main requirements:

The Self-Employed Persons Program

To qualify for business immigration to Canada under the Self-Employed Program, candidates must prove that they have a minimum experience of two years in the fields of art, culture or athletics. Also, that they can make a reasonably significant contribution to one of these fields through their relevant experience and skills.

Additional selection factors such as language proficiency, education, age and adaptability are also counted towards eligibility for this program.

Although there is no stated minimum net worth requirement, candidates must satisfy the immigration authorities that they have sufficient funds to reside in Canada with their family and finance activities in the field they choose to pursue.
